Charming renovated residence with a magnificent warm swimming pool on a plot of over 5000m². Close to Salon de Provence, 40 minutes from Aix en Provence, Vernègues is a village in Provence between Lubéron and Alpilles. 5 bedrooms, can accommodate 10 people. Not overlooked, quiet but not isolated, this place is ideal with family or friends to enjoy the region
Outside: Outside, all the charm of Provence with a bowling green, 10*5 heated swimming pool (april until endof September), summer kitchen with its 20m² wooden terrace and landscaped areas.
You can park 4 cars on the property.
Inside, the decoration is sober and elegant with all the necessary equipment including air conditioning and fiber (internet)

All the rooms on the ground floor open onto a 60m2 terrace with a view of the swimming pool.

•Bathroom - shower and separate toilet
Linens, towels and bath sheets are provided. The beds are made up just before your arrival. You will find cosmetic items in the bathrooms and some cold drinks in the fridge.

The pool area is stunning and the astro turf surrounding it meant that the kids could play without getting dirty which was a plus.
The pool itself was heated to the perfect temperature making it great for long pool days.
The house itself looks exactly like the photos, it comes with the usual quirks and shabbiness you would expect with an older property, but Cedric and his team were super responsive and quick to help when we had questions.
There is a bath in the master suite, this made the stay with the kids easier.
Cedric recommended a chef one night who came and cooked for us - the food was fabulous 10/10 recommend.
The location is private and accessed via a dirt road that feels secluded.
The surrounding areas is great for all ages, we spent a day in Cassis and another at chateau la coste which was fantastic!

Environnement tel que nous l'attendions; au calme et au chant des cigales.
Piscine magnifique, grande, entretenue avec soin, pente descendante fort pratique pour les enfants qui en ont bien profité. Coins ombragés nombreux.
Literie très confortable, cuisine très bien équipée, frigo américain au top.

Leider gingen Herd und Spülmaschine nicht richtig und hier und da hatte das Haus kleine „Macken“ oder Makel. Dafür war der Vermieter sehr hilfsbereit.

In the village there is a nice cafe and a creparie above the town. But the village doesn't have too much beyond the two spots. Given the house setting at the end of a fairly long gravel road, its a bit of a walk to both. There are a couple of nice restaurants in the neighboring towns, as well as decent grocery/bakery/fruit shops and multiple wineries. General area is good; but its a shame that Vernegues doesn't have a bit more going on. You generally have to drive beyond the town for most things. The area looks like it would be great for cycling.
House amenities were fairly good. BBQ, fridge, stove, washer/dryer all worked well. Coffee maker and microwave could be better. Lots of bedrooms, and the guest bedroom wing upstairs looked quite nice. There are two "master" bedrooms. Both are ok, but a bit odd layout.
I think this place would be ideal for multiple couples or a large family needing multiple bedrooms. We were just two of us on honeymoon, so was quite a bit more space than we needed and the positioning on the hillside, while great for privacy by day, feels a bit isolated at night. All in all though, a nice couple weeks of vaca.

Quelques petites choses à réparer, un coup de téléphone à Cédric de l'agence et quelques heures après, c'était réparé.
Le seul point "négatif" est l'accès à la maison. Un chemin caillouteux, très raide et étroit. Attention aux voitures basses et gros modèles. Impossible de partir/arriver à la maison à vélo 🙁.
Nous recommandons vivement cette maison de vacances et le service impeccable et fiable de Serenity Rentals.

Difficult to fault but downstairs en-suite would be even better if it had a WC, downstairs bedroom needs AC and 1st floor en-suite could do with a better shower.
Staff at Serenity Rentals were very friendly and helpful.
Would definitely recommend.

It was very hot throughout our stay, so we enjoyed the air conditioned interior at night, lounged by the pool by day and hung out in the many outdoor spaces in the evening. We cooked every dinner at the house and could not have had a better vacation in Provence.
We were two families with adult children staying together and there was plenty of room for spending time together or finding alone time. Vernègues has its own ruined chateau that provided an excellent vantage point for awesome sunsets. This location made for easy day trips to the coast, the Luberon and other points of interest in western Provence. Don’t hesitate to book this bastide for your next vacation. Cheers!
